DESCRIPTION
EEEK! A black widow spider in her shiny, black armour! It's almost more than I can stand! Delthezda Booch's spellbook is a lot less scary… kind of pretty actually… thank goodness! Two really fun, easy blocks to stitch for the Superstition Block of the Month quilt!
Superstition Supply List
2 ½ yards subtly printed stitchery background fabric
2 ½ yards warm white muslin for backing stitcheries
2 yards black for piecing and binding
1 ¼ yard white for piecing and inner border
¾ yard outer border print
4 yards quilt backing
70” x 70” batting
01 or 005 brown Pigma pen
Light box for tracing your embroidery pattern
Freezer paper (for placing under fabric when applying fixative)
Artist’s paper blending stumps
Emery board/nail file
Size 4 round watercolor brush
Jacquard Textile #100 Colorless Extender
Embroidery hoop (I like a 5” thin-sided, spring tension hoop)
#7 embroidery needle
#3 milliner’s needle
Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty (for removing most pencil tinting mistakes before fixative is added)
Thread and pencil colors listed below are needed to make all blocks in the finished quilt. For making just this pattern's block, only the colors in bold are required.
