DESCRIPTION
This handy 8-1/2in wide ruler helps you cut wider strips and squares, but also has all of the features you’ve come to love in our Creative Grids® Rulers.
• Easy to read black and white markings printed in 1in grids marked in 1/8in and 1/4in increments.
• Use the black numbers printed on white dots and 1/4in grip side to cut whole inches.
• Use our exclusive Turn-a-Round feature to cut 1/2in increments by following the white numbers on black dots and 1/2in grip sides.
• The 1/4in dashed lines that are printed on two adjoining sides, aid in trimming seam allowances.
• Use the white and black 45 degree lines to trim half-square triangle blocks.
• An additional black 45 degree line is placed so that two cross 1/4in away from the outside edge. Use these to square up flying geese units, squares set on point, and to mark crosshatching.
• An additional 30/60 degree angled line also included.
• White horizontal and vertical lines are printed on the rectangle so the center of the ruler is easily distinguished. Use these lines to fussy-cut stripes and borders.
• Ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then our exclusive grip holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts.
• Scan the QR Code printed on the ruler to view a tutorial of these features and to see available patterns made using this rectangle.

MY GO TO RULER
I just really enjoy using this ruler instead of my 6 1/2” x 24”. I am height challenged and using the bigger ruler has always been a problem for me but since I bought this shorter ruler that problem is solved. I also use it to square up many of my blocks. To tell the truth, I use it a lot for many different tasks. I really like it

CREATIVE GRIDS ARE THE BEST!
Perfect size for wider borders, or squaring blocks. I love how they grip, that the numbers are easy to read, that you can use one side for inch, and the other for half. Diagonal lines are great.
