DESCRIPTION
Twenty-Five very superstitious embroidered blocks in one quilt? YES! This super easy to assemble quilt finishes 61 1/2" square. This pattern contains the quilt assembly instructions, and directions to make the first embroidered block… A - Poison Apple! All general directions for the quilt and stitched blocks are in this pattern. Detailed colored pencil tinting and embroidery directions will be included with each block design.
Superstition Supply List
2 ½ yards subtly printed stitchery background fabric
2 ½ yards warm white muslin for backing stitcheries
2 yards black for piecing and binding
1 ¼ yard white for piecing and inner border
¾ yard outer border print
4 yards quilt backing
70” x 70” batting
01 or 005 brown Pigma pen
Light box for tracing your embroidery pattern
Freezer paper (for placing under fabric when applying fixative)
Artist’s paper blending stumps
Emery board/nail file
Size 4 round watercolor brush
Jacquard Textile #100 Colorless Extender
Embroidery hoop (I like a 5” thin-sided, spring tension hoop)
#7 embroidery needle
#3 milliner’s needle
Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty (for removing most pencil tinting mistakes before fixative is added)
Thread and pencil colors listed below are needed to make all blocks in the finished quilt. For making just this pattern's block, only the colors in bold are required.
